We started of Our Masks for the Cultural Festival.

Yesterday  we started to put our first layer of paper mache on our masks.

Firstly we had to rip the newspaper into small strips. Next we dipped the newspaper strips into a box of glue that Mr Thurlow had already mixed.

Then we stuck the gluey strips on our face masks. Our hands became slimy and sticky. We had to be careful that the strips were stuck down and smoothly.

When we had completed our first layer we put the masks on a table in the classroom to dry. We had to tidy up all the mess that was left on the ground.

Lots of us were exhausted because we had to ensure that our paper strips covered all our masks and the newspaper strips we stuck down properly.
