Information report- Butterflies

Butterflies are flying insects. They are seen in  the day time.

The butterflies lay their yellow egg normally underneath leaves to keep them safe. The yellow eggs  hatch and change into a caterpillar .

The caterpillar  eats  heaps of  green  leaves  from  the  trees. When the  caterpillar gets too fat the  caterpillar turns into a chrysalis.

After a few weeks the chrysalises will become a beautiful butterflies.
