The Wahine was the biggest ferry in the world. On the 10th of April 1968 the Wahine sunk. The Wahine sunk by hitting Barrett reef on the stern. 610 passengers and 123 crew were on board the Wahine. 51 people died in the disaster.The anchors were in the water causing the ship to go side to side. The elder kids were push on the rocks and died there.
