Room 2 's toy garage sale

Today room2 had a toy garage sale to make a donation for cure kids. We raised $156.70c in cash, most of the junior school ran to the garage sale. There was a huge crowd around our class room. There were toys everywhere from $1 to $5. It was like a christmas in the park fair around room2. Some people didn't have enough money to buy toys. Room2 had awesome garage set up. When people had to clean up. We sold all our toys in the end.

Trouble with Santa Claus.

On Christmas eve Santa Claus was eating a hot chilly curry. He went to get a drink of water. Then Blister and Dasher came out of their pen and ate Santa's hot chilly curry. Once they gobbled it all up they felt sick.Santa had ride on the back of Rudolph as Rudolph hadn't eaten thechilly curry.

While Santa was preparing Rudolph for his ride. One of the clumsiest elf's tripped and fell into a machine. The other elves had to put the machine into reversal mode to turn the elf into a real life elf. However one part was missing so another elf went off to get a spare part for the missing piece. When the machine was fixed and turned on there were lights as bright as the sun and sparks the size of fireworks. The elf came back to life.

Meanwhile Santa was rushing around the room. Rudolph said ''why don't you hop on my back and deliver the presents''.

Santa said ''okay'' and santa hopped on Rudolph's back and delivered the presents in record time. the end

Our raft.

Today after swimming room2 and 4 saw some army people carrying home made rafts!! When we were walking back from the pool I was having a conversation with Lochlan. We were discussing to make one of the raft we saw but different. When we were sitting down at the Rugby post Reuben, Jesse and Logan came and Lochlan told them just what we were discussing. When we got back to class it was in the middle of morning tea. My group got some paper to right our own instructions. I said that we had our own own parts to right. I said that I had to do the bottom part where we stand and sit. Lochlan got to do the flag and the pole for the flag. Jesse did the paddles. And Reuben did the same as me.

Mouse dragon.

Once upon a time there was a Dragon who couldn't breath fire. The Dragon was as small as a mouse, it had three heads, eight legs and 12 wings. The Mouse Dragon started to eat grass and accidently ate a beetle and then got sick. Then he strangely started to breath fire. Then he found his mother!! The mother was a medic and fixed his mouth to not breath fire.

Tenpin bowling

We made a tenpin bowling rink. It is like mini tenpin bowling it is so much fun.We have tried so much to get a strike but we havin't got one yet. The best we can do is a spare.

Rugby Prize Giving

On Sunday morning at 10 o clock I went to my rugby prize giving with my family. When I got there we had to wait for 5 minutes. When all the Lincoln teams came my team was beside the heater.The bell rang for us to start there were three people in my team that got a trophy. Adam, Conner and I got 2 trophies each.The colour of the small one was an awesome gold, and the big one had sculpture of a person that had a silver top and pants.

I was really proud in receiving my trophies for all my hard work throughout the rugby season.

Lochlan's Meccano

Yesterday when I was sick but I built a model with my dad. The model is cool and my dad likes it, as well. The machine is called a "ice sled". It took us a 4hours and 15 minutes!! We took breaks in between building of the model, so our hands wouldn't get sore. I had mousetraps for lunch. I loved them. I got my hands into tiny gaps where my dad couldn't. Before mum came home we fixed the hardest part that was at the back of the sled. When she got came mum took a picture of our "ice sled".YEY!!

Letti comes to room2, Tonga Treasures

This morning Letti came into room 2 . She taught us about Tongan and showed us her treasures.The tapa mat was a decorations and you could sit on it when there were important advents.Letti said Tonga is a small contry.Tonga has heaps of coconuts.Letti brought her wedding dresses in.I thought the shells was light and small.Letti said everyone had black and brown hair.The ladies dress in dresses and skirts to go to church.The men wore a long belt, made out of coconut husks.Letti said they only had square houses with cold water for their showers.

TITANIC

Aramis and I have been reading about the Titanic: Here are some facts that we learned.

• The Titanic hit an huge iceberg.

• More than 1500 people on board.

• Only 706 people had their live saved.

• The Titanic had snapped in half.

• The lookouts did not see the dark mass of the iceberg blended in with the black sea.

• On the night of 14 April 1912 the captain of the world 's largest luxury liner knew he was in dangerous waters.
