Levi's Life

Yesterday after morning tea Burnham school went to the Amphitheatre to see the special guest. I thought that the special guest was going to be Ronald McDonald.

We were all yelling out Levi's name to get him outside from the staffroom.When he walked outside he had muscles like wheels and tattoos like an oval shape.

Levi told us about being a sumo wrestling and he won all the events as a sumo wrestler that he entered in. He told us he was the strongest man in New Zealand. Levi eats a kilo of a chicken and 30 eggs daily .

Levi told us to believe ourselves and our dreams will come true if you believe in ourselves. Levi gave all of us a hi five.  At the end,Levi had photographs with us on the friendship seat. I looked small beside him.


It was so incredible that Levi the strongest man in New Zealand came to Burnham school.

Groovy Disco

After school on Friday the junior school held a bright coloured disco.

When I arrived there were loads of people and kids dancing and having fun. I saw a box full of prizes. As the disco started I went up to a table and asked how much the glow bracelets , popcorn and lolly mixtures were. I got four glow bracelets and a small lolly mixture. Once I got them I went up on stage and started dancing like crazy. Some of my friends joined in too.

Then two seniors came up on stage and said that all of us will play a game called Musical Statues. I got out in the fourth round. I was a bit disappointed. After a while we started dancing again. The two seniors gave out prizes. I was a bit sad because I did not get a prize.

Then we did another game where four kids would come up and start dancing. At the end of the game the seniors gave out more prizes.  I got a prize it was a zebra from Animal Kingdom.


At the end of the disco I felt exhausted.

Trip To Governers Bay

On Saturday I went to Governors Bay with my family and friends from church. We did some weeding and digging for the City Missions vegetable garden. I found 18 worms with my friend Eden.Then Eden and I put the worms into a hole of dirt. We had to put them back because it helps them stay alive.

After we were done with the gardening we had a little snack.After the snack we went to burger king for dinner then we went back home.

Sam’s Fishing Trip

Yesterday I went to Akaora to go fishing. We set off from Akaora in the morning on a boat.

When we got to the fishing spot the tide made the sea bumpy. Someone caught a large barracuda that had sharp teeth. It got thrown in the back in a cupboard.

After a while I caught a dogfish. It was hard to reel in. My dad caught an octopus later in the trip. The fishing trip was awesome because of the dogfish,as it is the biggest fish I ever caught.

 

Science Alive

On Wednesday Science Alive came to Room 2 to teach us about chemistry. First Julie read a mystery book to the class about science. The science was that we needed to find who stole the powder from Kate' s shop.

Then my group lit a fire in a ice cream box. We needed to put some safety glasses on and put some white powder in a little tray.

Finally, Julie set up a rocket to blast off in the classroom. When the rocket was fired it gave me a fright.

I thought Science Alive was awesome because I like chemistry.

Rugby-All Blacks!!!! All Blacks!!!

Last Saturday Max ,my Dad and I went to the AMI stadium to watch All Blacks & Australia. It was after my Japanese school. Once Dad & Max picked me up, we went looking and looking for a parking spot!!!! The roads were blocked because of the Rugby. After we had a parking spot we were along way from rugby and we had to WALK to the stadium!!,

It was freezing cold and a lot of people were coming along with Australian shirt's!! However, good luck that there were more All Blacks shirts. My Dad is a Australilan dude. There were a few injuries from the Australilan so I said to my Dad, ''Oh one of your team mates are in trouble ''.

Before the game we sang the national Anthem of New Zealand and Australia. Max & I did not know the national Anthem of Australia but my Dad did because he was born in Australia so me & Max went la la la with the song

Of course the All Black's won by 20 , Ozzy 10 but as long as it was a good game. Before the start of the game Max & Aramis gobbled up all the rice balls that Mum made. We took a scooter which we had to share except my Dad. After the game Max stayed over at my house for a sleep over. At the Rugby we were sitting in the middle so we had a quite good view from up there. It was raining which my Dad brought three rain coats & umbrella while we were under the shelter!! My Dad was shouting Ozzy Ozzy Ozzy oyoyoy!! Me & Max were shouting All Blacks are going to wast the Australian!!

Lochlan's Meccano

Yesterday when I was sick but I built a model with my dad. The model is cool and my dad likes it, as well. The machine is called a "ice sled". It took us a 4hours and 15 minutes!! We took breaks in between building of the model, so our hands wouldn't get sore. I had mousetraps for lunch. I loved them. I got my hands into tiny gaps where my dad couldn't. Before mum came home we fixed the hardest part that was at the back of the sled. When she got came mum took a picture of our "ice sled".YEY!!
