The Great Kiwi Adventure- Ohau Waterfall Walk( Kaikoura)

As a part of Room 2's Writing programme, the students have been asked to write a diary recount on different New Zealand's famous landmarks and tourist spots.  Here is Libby's diary entry for the Seals at  Ohau Waterfall Walk ( Kaikoura).

Dear Diary,

I have had the best holiday ever! 

On Monday hopped onto my bike to go to Kaikoura to see some seals. I stopped off at a stream and followed the path to the stream. I saw some seals in the stream. A seal was climbing a rock but when the seal got to the top of the rock the seal's flippers slipped and the seal bonked it's head…

Have you ever wondered why the moon is shiny at night in the dark sky?

I'm going to explain how the moon shines at night. The sunlight from the sun hits the moon. Then the moon reflects the sunlight back to earth. The moon is like a shiny mirror in the sky.
