Christchurch Santa Parade 2011

On Sunday we went to McDonald’s to meet each other because we were going on the Ronald McDonald float for Christchurch Christmas Parade.

Before we went on the float we got to have pictures taken with Ronald McDonald . Then we went to the parade in Lilley's mums car. When we got the float we got free drinks and lollies. There were lots of excited children cheering us as we went past them in the parade. The float in

front of of ours was Cinedarella and the three ugly step sisters.

Finally our float started moving we had to sing christmas songs and Ronld Mcdonald songs like " make it click". Then we throw lollies at the people . Brodie throw a lollie into a man's mouth.

The parade took hours in the steaming heat but we all want to be chosen for next year Christmas Parade.

Tee ball

Yesterday I had Tee ball” practice. We had a running race. I won most of my runing races. After that we had a throwing race. My team won one of the races. The other team won the other race. I like Tee Ball because I like making new friends and because I like playing a game of tee ball on Saturday. The team has won all of  the Tee ball  games this season.

How Meteors Are Form?

Meteors start as small pieces of dust, ice and rock that are called meteoroids . Meteoroids are found in a tail of a comet.

As the comet passes by the sun, the sun begins to melt the comet. Pieces of rock shatter and left floating in space.

As Earth's travels around the sun , meteoriods go into the path of Earth. Some meteoriods are pulled closer to Earth because of the Earth's gravity. As meteoriods enter through Earth's atmosphere they are called "meteors'. When meteoriods start to fall through the Earth's atmosphere they start to become burning hot. Soon they will get so hot they start to glow and burn.

Sometimes meteors are mistaken for shooting stars .

Softball- Skills

Jessie from Canterbury Softball came this morning to teach us softball. Most of us felt excited because we have never played softball before.

Firstly he showed us the skills of fielding, which one skill of the catching. He taught us how to catch the ball if its low by putting your hands in a "V" shape and crouching with legs apart.After that, he taught us to catch a high ball by making a "W" shape in the air. He also mention to keep you eye on the ball because the ball might hit your head.

Brodie and others felt that the lesson was awesome because we learnt something new that we haven't done before.

Coco- My Fancy Puppy

On Monday Coco turns 4 months. Coco is a carmel colour. Coco likes playing with my cat. Coco is cool.
