Science Alive

Yesterday, room 2 went to the school hall to see Science Alive to learn about magnets. John from Science Alive taught us about Mighty Magnets. He spit us into four groups then he sent us to different tables that had different activities to do with magnets. We raced with cars that had magnets on them, we were able to move them by repelling the magnets. Another activity was to find keys in a box of sand. One of the keys unlocked a treasure chest.

The important concepts we learnt that magnets have both a north and south pole. The magnets can attract or repel each other depending on the poles. If an object has iron in it. It will stick to magnets.

It was awesome because we learnt new things about magnets in an interesting way.
