Mr Howe from Civil Defence came to talk to room 1, 2, 4 and 5. He spoke about what we should do when there is a disaster in Canterbury. We learnt that he helps other people when disasters happen.
The most important thing we learnt is to prepare for a disaster is having food and water to stay alive. Also we need a torch and radio that runs on batteries if the electricity has been cut off.
He also mentioned how to keep safe in an earthquake.
We were also shocked to learn that if there no water after a disaster, we might have to go to the toilet in a bucket.
